Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a talented and driven Full Stack Engineer to join our technology team in Metro Manila. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a strategic role where you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing both front-end and back-end systems that power our digital solutions. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality applications that meet business objectives and user expectations. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack web applications, including front-end user interfaces and back-end server logic
• Design and implement robust application programming interfaces (APIs) and database solutions
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other developers to translate requirements into technical specifications and functional code
• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and consistency
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging and resolving technical issues in production and development environments
• Contribute to the optimisation of application performance, scalability and security
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend improvements to the development process
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation and retrospectives as part of an agile development team
• What we're looking for3+ years of professional experience in full stack web development or related software engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks (for example, React, Vue or Angular)
• Solid understanding of back-end development using languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, PHP or similar
• Experience working with relational databases (such as PostgreSQL or MySQL) and understanding of database design principles
• Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development practices
• Understanding of web security principles and best practices for secure coding
• Experience with cloud platforms or containerisation technologies (such as Docker or Kubernetes) is preferred
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development practices is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience
