POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer who enjoys solving difficult problems, developing capabilities across modern user interfaces, backend services, AI-enabled workflows, enterprise integrations and cloud native platforms. You will work with ASCENT and Global Capabilities Center team members throughout the development lifecycle. This role contributes to technical design and implementation, reviews GCC-developed work, validates software deliverables, and supports controlled integration and promotion into multi-tiered trust environments.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on full stack engineering ability with a collaborative and adaptable mindset. You should be comfortable working in an evolving R&D environment, evaluating new technologies, developing across frontend and backend systems, and helping move solutions from concept through testing, secure integration, and deployment. You take ownership of software quality, communicate effectively across distributed teams, and use modern development and AI-assisted tools to deliver secure, maintainable, and mission-ready capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full Stack Development: Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, maintainable software across frontend, backend, API, integration, and data layers.
• Frontend Engineering: Build accessible, responsive applications using React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, HTML, and CSS, with automated testing using Vitest and Testing Library.
• Backend and AI Development: Develop Python services using Fast

API, Pydantic, and asynchronous programming, including Lang

Graph workflows, MCP tools, prompt orchestration, tool calling, approval gates, and audit logging.

• Integration and Data Processing: Build reusable integrations for Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Jira, GitLab, and other enterprise services. Develop capabilities for processing Excel, Word, PDF, Microsoft Project, XML, and SQL-based data.
• Cloud and Platform Engineering: Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Azure services such as Container Apps, Container Registry, Key Vault, Azure OpenAI, Azure Monitor, and related platform capabilities.
• Software Quality: Create and maintain unit, integration, behavior-driven, end-to-end, API, and user-interface tests. Troubleshoot issues across development, test, demonstration, and integration environments.
• Secure Integration and Promotion: Review GCC-developed code and delivery packages, reproduce required checks in approved environments, resolve integration issues, and promote authorized work through established higher-trust branches and environments.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: Use Devin Desktop and other approved AI-assisted development tools for implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review while independently validating the accuracy, security, and quality of generated outputs.
• Technical Collaboration: Participate in solution design, technical reviews, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and engineering discussions. Clearly communicate requirements, decisions, risks, dependencies, and feedback to U.S.-based and GCC team members.
• Security and Compliance: Follow established cybersecurity, software supply-chain, data-handling, export-control, configuration-management, and release-management requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional full stack software development experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing production-grade frontend, backend, API, integration, and cloud-based applications.
• Experience working with geographically distributed or U.S.-based engineering teams is preferred.
• Experience supporting DoD, federal, highly regulated, security-conscious, or mission-oriented environments is highly preferred.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure, software development, cloud architecture, AI, security, or DevOps certifications are an advantage.
• Systems and Technical Skills:
• Strong production experience with Python, Fast

API, Pydantic, asynchronous programming, REST/JSON APIs, and automated testing.

• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, HTML, and CSS, including responsive design and accessibility practices.
• Experience with frontend testing tools such as Vitest and Testing Library.
• Experience with Docker, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, branching strategies, and controlled software releases.
• Experience developing secure API integrations with appropriate authentication, authorization, retry, error handling, and rate-limiting controls.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, preferably Azure Container Apps, Container Registry, Key Vault, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Monitor.
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms and APIs such as Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Jira, and GitLab is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI development technologies such as Lang

Chain, MCP tools/servers, prompt orchestration, grounding, tool calling, and AI evaluation is an advantage.

• Experience using Devin Desktop or comparable AI-assisted engineering tools, with the ability to independently review and validate AI-generated code and documentation.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, SQL, document-processing technologies, RBAC, audit logging, observability, dependency management, and software supply-chain security.
• Strong experience with unit, integration, API, regression, behavior-driven, and end-to-end testing.

• Work Requirements:
• Full-time remote position supporting U.S.-based operations and engineering teams.
• Ability to work U.S. business hours / Philippine night shift as required.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a geographically distributed engineering environment.
• Ability to comply with applicable cybersecurity, data-handling, software supply-chain, export-control, configuration-management, confidentiality, and release-management requirements.
• Must be able to support work involving unclassified, controlled, restricted, or secure technical environments based on project requirements.
• On-site presence and occasional travel may be required for customer collaboration, integration, deployment, testing, or secure-facility requirements.
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship are required where applicable to the assigned client engagement or project.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Base Salary - Competitive gross basic monthly salary, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, certifications, and specialized technical expertise.
• Night Shift Differential - Provided in accordance with applicable Philippine labor requirements and company policy.
