The Team Lead Software Engineer provides technical leadership and people management within the software development team, ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. The role oversees the technical direction of projects, enforces engineering best practices, mentors team members, and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business-driven technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and system enhancements.
• Provide technical direction, architectural guidance, and code review to ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code while driving continuous improvement in software quality and performance.
• Lead technical discussions, solution design, estimation, and implementation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, optimize system performance, and reduce technical debt.
• Mentor and develop software engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with product owners, business users, QA, and other technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Promote Agile practices, automation, testing, documentation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance development efficiency and system capabilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional training in software development, software architecture, or related technologies is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 4–6 years of software development experience.
• At least 1–2 years of experience leading development teams or technical initiatives.
• Proven experience delivering software projects across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in software design, coding, debugging, testing, and code review.
• Experience in web, mobile, desktop, or enterprise application development.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in database design and management (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience with automation testing, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and software development tools.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, Financial Systems, Logistics, or enterprise applications is an advantage.

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based with hybrid or remote work arrangements, as applicable.
• May require extended working hours during critical project milestones or production deployments.
• Occasional participation in cross-functional meetings, system implementations, and business engagements.
• Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
