As a key contributor to our client delivery, your responsibilities will include: Taxation & Compliance: Preparing company, trust, partnership, and individual income tax returns. Financial Reporting: Preparing comprehensive working papers and full financial statements. Activity Statements: Handling the complete preparation and compliance requirements for Business Activity Statements (BAS). Day-to-Day Accounting: Correctly understanding and processing income, expenses, and payroll.GST & PAYGW: Applying a thorough operational knowledge of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and PAYG Withholding (PAYGW). Software Management: Utilizing Xero daily to streamline workflows, maintain clean ledger data, and manage client files efficiently. What We Are Looking ForExperience: Minimum 2 years of practical experience working within Australian public practice or accounting firms. Software Expertise: Deep working knowledge and hands-on practical experience using Xero. Technical Proficiency: Good understanding of Australian tax laws, financial statement preparation, working papers, BAS, GST, and payroll systems. Communication: Clear, polite, and confident written and verbal communication skills. Ownership & Accountability: Ability to work independently, manage your deadlines, take full ownership of your responsibilities, and own your outcomes. Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a larger team, helping colleagues and contributing to a positive environment.
