About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and commercially minded Finance Manager to join a growing multi-site business and help build its finance function alongside the CFO.This is a broad role covering everything from day-to-day finance operations and month-end reporting through to financial modelling, acquisition analysis, due diligence and Board reporting. As the business continues to grow, the finance team will expand beneath this role. The successful candidate will therefore have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, manage junior team members and grow into a broader finance leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations

Manage and progressively take ownership of accounts payable processing and supplier management. Prepare and process payments through banking and finance platforms within delegated authority limits. Manage payroll processing across multiple clinics and the corporate team. Process employee expense claims and reimbursements. Perform bank reconciliations, including clinic revenue receipts and operating expenditure. Manage credit card issuance, administration and reconciliation. Support employee and clinic finance onboarding. Maintain accurate financial records and appropriate financial controls. Handle other day-to-day finance and administrative activities as the business grows. Month-End & Financial Reporting

Prepare month-end workpapers and account reconciliations. Assist with journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations. Review financial performance and investigate variances. Update management reports and financial models. Prepare monthly reporting materials and presentations. Assist with Board and investor reporting. Identify opportunities to improve and streamline reporting processes. Acquisitions & Due Diligence

Assist with financial due diligence for potential acquisitions. Review historical financial information and underlying business performance. Prepare and maintain valuation models. Identify financial issues, anomalies and areas requiring further investigation. Assist with acquisition recommendations and investment materials. Prepare financial analysis and materials for Board approval. Support the financial aspects of transaction completion. Assist with the financial integration of newly acquired businesses following settlement. Projects & Business Improvement

Build and improve financial models, workpapers, reporting templates and processes. Support the onboarding of employees and businesses into group systems. Assist with finance systems implementation and automation. Test and improve finance controls. Work with operational teams to resolve finance and payroll matters. Develop scalable finance processes as the business grows. Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve finance processes. About You: We are looking for someone with approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience, although capability, attitude and potential are more important than a specific number of years. Ideally, you will have:CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification. Strong accounting and financial fundamentals. Experience in an accounting firm, ideally including audit, transaction services or a similar discipline. Commercial experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Accountant, Corporate Accountant or similar. Strong Excel and financial modelling skills. Experience with month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial controls. Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy. Ability to move comfortably between detailed transactional finance work and higher-level financial analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills. An interest in technology, AI and automation. Experience in healthcare, multi-site businesses, private equity-backed companies or acquisition-focused environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
