Trust and Financial Accountant (BIG 4 Preferred)

A growing AU shared services firm seeks a Trust Accountant to manage trust accounting operations and ensure accurate, reliable financial reporting. This role involves high-volume reconciliations, oversight of loan servicing, and end-to-end management of trust accounting activities. Responsibilities: Ensure all trust-related transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled to the general ledger and bank accounts daily. Prepare reconciliations between loan servicing reports and loan balance movements in the general ledger. Calculate and post monthly servicing and management fees. Enter invoices and update transactions in Xero, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting. Prepare month-end journals and perform balance sheet reconciliations. Reconcile unit holdings from the unit registry system to the general ledger. Prepare ABS Survey of Financial Information statements for the trusts. Assist with tax compliance, audit preparation, and ad hoc accounting or reporting tasks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.3-6 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting with financial services companies (BIG 4 highly preferred). Proficient in Xero, with strong Excel and reconciliation skills. Hands-on experience in accounting, tax, and statutory compliance for small to medium organizations. Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized, with strong communication skills. Work Setup: Full Onsite
