IB Geography Tutor

Test

Prep is looking for an experienced IB Geography Tutor to provide one-to-one online tutoring to international students.

This position is specifically for teachers who are currently teaching IB Diploma Programme Geography at an IB World School.

Essential Requirement

Applicants must currently be employed by an IB World School and actively teaching IB Geography within the Diploma Programme.

Applications from tutors who have only previously taught IB Geography, but are not currently teaching the subject in an IB school, will not be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one online IB Geography SL and HL lessons.
• Support students with syllabus content, exam preparation and revision.
• Prepare students for IB Geography assessments and examinations.
• Develop students’ skills in geographical analysis, case-study application, data interpretation and essay writing.
• Teach effective exam technique using IB-style questions, past papers and mark schemes.
• Provide structured feedback and identify areas requiring improvement.
• Support students in understanding Geography IA requirements and assessment criteria while maintaining academic integrity.

Requirements

• Currently teaching IB Geography at an IB World School.
• Current experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme.
• Ability to teach both SL and HL Geography.
• Strong knowledge of the current IB Geography syllabus, assessment structure, command terms and marking criteria.
• Strong familiarity with IB examination expectations and assessment standards.
• Experience supporting students with Geography Internal Assessment requirements.
• Excellent spoken English with clear, easily understandable pronunciation, as lessons are highly interactive and communication-based.
• Excellent written English.
• Experience teaching international students.
• Ability to deliver engaging and structured lessons online.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional online teaching environment.
