Role Description The Bookkeeper role at True

Books USA is a full-time, remote position responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple small-business clients. Day-to-day tasks include recording and categorizing transactions, posting journal entries, and reconciling bank and credit-card accounts. The Bookkeeper will prepare and review monthly financial statements, identify discrepancies, and communicate with clients to clarify missing or unclear information. The role also involves working within cloud-based accounting software, following established processes, and meeting recurring monthly deadlines. This position requires consistent attention to detail, clear written communication, and the ability to manage workload independently in a remote environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong bookkeeping skills, including transaction recording, account reconciliation, and journal entries (Accounting).
  • Ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements with a solid understanding of basic Finance principles.
  • Proficiency with Accounting Software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar cloud-based platforms).
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in managing multiple client accounts.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-specialists.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks across several clients.
  • Experience in small-business bookkeeping or public accounting is preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Must speak english proficiently
