About the role
Design, build, and support the hospital's web application. Turn user stories in the Business Requirements Specification (BRS) into easy-to-use application and hand over clean, well-documented source code to the IT team.
Key responsibilities
- Join workshops with HR, IOH, and Billing to clarify user stories
- Turn those stories into wireframes and a clear backlog
- Design the data model (Employee, LOA, Claims, Attachments)
- Build the web app (front-end & back-end) using a clean MVC or similar architecture
- Implement role-based log-in, dashboards, batch-upload, file-upload features
- Code MBL calculations exactly as the policy states (net of PhilHealth, inner limits, pro-rated balances)
- Write unit and/or integration tests for every feature
- Follow OWASP Top 10 secure-coding practices; ensure all uploads are virus-scanned and encrypted at rest
- Prepare environment scripts or Docker files so the app can be deployed in one step
- Set up automated backup and monitoring for 99% uptime
About you
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field
Hands-on experience in full-stack web development (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js or Python + Django/Flask, or .NET)SQL schema design and query optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL)Hands-on experience with HTML 5, CSS, responsive UI frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar)
- Ability to translate business rules (MBL calculations, LOA flow) into code that end-users find intuitive
- Good written and verbal communication; able to explain tech to non-tech stakeholders
