Backend Engineer (Node.js, TypeScript & AWS)About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, secure, and reliable backend services that power modern digital platforms. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs, integrations, and backend systems that support customer-facing applications, internal platforms, and business operations. Working closely with Architecture, Platforms Managers, Design, Data, QA, and Engineering teams, you will help build cloud-native solutions that are secure, resilient, and built for scale. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical problems, building high-quality services, and contributing to modern engineering practices. Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript. Build scalable and maintainable application services that support web, mobile, and platform integrations. Develop reusable, well-structured, and testable code following established engineering standards. Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution implementation. Cloud & Platform Engineering

Build and manage cloud-native applications and infrastructure using AWS services. Develop serverless and event-driven solutions using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, and RDS.Ensure backend systems are secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient. Support platform reliability, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness. Integrations & Data Management

Design and implement integrations between internal platforms, third-party services, and external partners. Develop and maintain database schemas, queries, and data access patterns across relational and NoSQL databases. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance across backend systems. Support event-driven and asynchronous processing patterns where appropriate. Quality, Security & Engineering Excellence

Apply best practices in API design, software architecture, testing, security, and performance optimization. Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards. Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection practices. Ensure applications comply with reliability, scalability, and security requirements. Delivery & Collaboration

Collaborate with Platforms Managers, Architects, Designers, QA Engineers, and Data teams throughout the delivery lifecycle. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical estimation, and delivery activities. Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation practices. Document technical designs, APIs, and implementation details where required.
