Senior Data Analyst

As a Senior Data Analyst based in the Philippines, you will be part of the APAC Data & Analytics function. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality analytics, reporting, and insight generation for the region, with a strong focus on Power BI, SQL, Python, and modern data platforms. You will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand priorities, translate business questions into analytical outputs, and provide proactive insights that support better decisions.

The role requires strong technical capability, sound business judgement, and a proactive, can-do mindset. You will help define data requirements, design and develop dashboards, perform analytical investigations, and communicate insights clearly to business, operations, and technology stakeholders across APAC.

What The Day Will Look Like

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities, frame business questions, and translate requirements into clear analytical outputs and reporting solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualisations that provide actionable insights for regional business and operational stakeholders.
• Use SQL and Python to extract, transform, analyse, validate, and automate data activities across complex datasets.
• Undertake ad-hoc data analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers, proactively engaging the business on the insights and implications.
• Perform data profiling, data quality assessment, source-to-target mapping, validation, reconciliation, and investigation of data issues to support reporting and project delivery.
• Work with technology and data platform teams to troubleshoot reporting or data issues, including issues relating to modern data platforms such as Databricks where applicable.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify, automate, and enhance reporting processes and analytical products.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

This position will suit a senior analyst with the following experience and attributes:

• Degree qualified in Business, Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or data solution delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, paginated reports, data models, and high-quality visualisations.
• Strong SQL skills, with experience querying, transforming, validating, and reconciling complex datasets.
• Practical Python experience for data analysis, automation, data preparation, or advanced analytics.
• Experience with Databricks or modern cloud data platforms is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, diagnose issues, and translate analysis into practical business insights.
• Proven ability to work with complex business datasets and deliver actionable insights that support decision-making.
• Proactive stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence to work directly with business users, ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and communicate insights clearly.
• Can-do mindset with strong ownership, curiosity, and willingness to solve problems in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience in data quality assessment, validation, control checks, and process improvement.
• Ability to understand and address data implementation challenges across reporting, business process, and technology contexts.
• Strong attention to detail, with a systematic and structured approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for business and technical audiences.
• Experience within an insurance broker, insurance, or financial services environment is highly desirable.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with regional and cross-functional teams.
