About the role

We are seeking an IT Business Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Makati City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will serve as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications. You will play a strategic role in analyzing business processes, identifying system improvements, and ensuring that IT solutions align with organizational objectives. This position is crucial to the success of our client engagements and the delivery of high-quality business solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough business process analysis and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand organizational needs and objectives
• Document and translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications for system development and implementation
• Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with IT development teams, project managers, and business users to ensure successful system design and implementation
• Develop business cases, process flow diagrams, and system documentation to support decision-making and project delivery
• Conduct gap analysis between current state and desired future state systems and processes
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during system deployment and go-live activities
• Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for optimization and enhancement
• Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or similar role, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a comparable position

Experience in the Banking and Finance industries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business problems into manageable components

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies such as data flow diagrams, use case diagrams, and process mapping
• Experience with requirements management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Solid understanding of IT systems, databases, and enterprise applications
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
• Knowledge of business process improvement frameworks and best practices
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certifications such as IIBA CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable
