Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• General knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge across multiple accounting areas rather than one specific function, such as accounts receivable, is preferred but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
• Exposure to accounting software, including Xero and MYOB, is preferred but not required
• Ability to reconcile various accounts, including fixed assets, prepayments, inventory, and accruals, is preferred but not required
• Ability to post general ledger journals based on calculated adjustments
• Strong accountability and commitment to meeting deadlines
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail and comprehension
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities

Support the preparation of financial statements and management accounts. Prepare income tax returns for individuals, trusts, and companies. Complete the preparation and lodgment of Business Activity Statements. Compile documents as required. Perform general ledger reconciliations. Manage administrative tasks, including Australian Taxation Office correspondence. Handle ad hoc duties as required. About the Client
