Backend/Platform Engineer (GoLang and PHP) - Remote

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to build and support the systems behind our client onboarding and internal Admin platforms. You will work mainly with Go and AWS, building backend services and supporting the infrastructure they run on. You will also work with our existing PHP/Symfony applications, helping maintain and gradually improve and migrate them. This is a hands-on backend and platform role. You will be involved in the full development lifecycle — from designing and building services to testing, deploying and supporting them in production. You will work closely with engineering, product, compliance, risk and business teams to build secure, reliable and scalable systems. Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain backend services using Go and AWS.Maintain and improve existing PHP/Symfony applications. Build and manage integrations with third-party providers such as Sumsub, Trulioo, Comply

Advantage, Salesforce and Sendgrid. Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, Docker and Terraform. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments. Ensure applications have proper monitoring, logging and alerting. Improve development tools and processes to help the team work more efficiently. Help identify and fix security vulnerabilities. Work with Product Managers and Business Analysts to understand requirements and identify technical challenges. Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions. Participate in production support and the on-call rotation. Work with other teams, including Product, UX, Compliance/Risk and Engineering. Requirements

Experience

At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong backend experience. Production experience with Go (Golang). Hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment (nice-to-have)

Experience working with PHP and maintaining existing PHP applications. Symfony experience is an advantage. Experience with CI/CD and automated deployments. Experience with Docker and infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform. Experience in fintech, financial services or another regulated industry is a strong advantage. Experience with KYC/AML integrations, TypeScript or React is a bonus.
