Web Developer – AI & Automation Specialist | AU Client - WFH

We're looking for a skilled Web Developer to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical development skills with a genuine interest in leveraging AI tools to build, automate, and improve systems more efficiently. You'll be working across web development, platform improvements, and process automation — helping streamline how our systems and workflows operate day to day.

About the Role

As our Web Developer, you'll take ownership of building and maintaining web-based systems, while also identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and connect different tools and platforms together. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems with both code and smart use of AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve web-based systems and platforms
• Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude, Chat
• GPT) to speed up and enhance development work
• Identify and build automations that streamline internal processes and workflows
• Design and implement integrations between different systems, tools, and platforms
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize existing systems for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with the team to understand business needs and translate them into practical technical solutions
• Document processes and systems clearly for ongoing maintenance and handover

About You

• Proven experience in web development (front-end and/or back-end)
• Hands-on, practical experience using AI coding tools in real development work
• Experience with automation platforms or custom scripting (e.g. Zapier, Make, Python)
• Experience building or maintaining API and system integrations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working remotely with an Australian-based client
• Clear communicator, comfortable documenting your work and explaining technical decisions
