About the role
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contract Administration & Performance Management: Act as the primary technical and commercial liaison overseeing third-party O&M contractors to ensure compliance with SLAs, availability targets (e.g., 97%), insurance, and statutory requirements.
- Financial Oversight & Cost Control: Review, challenge, and manage OEM repair scopes, major component replacements, variation orders, and monthly invoices to protect asset ROI.
- Technical Operations & Monitoring: Audit real-time SCADA and Condition Monitoring System (CMS) data to track asset health, resolve root causes of unplanned downtime, and direct emergency response actions.
- Safety, Regulatory & Grid Compliance: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, DOLE regulations (including DO 174), Grid Code requirements, and right-of-way (ROW) clearance.
- Asset Optimization & Reporting: Maintain long-term Asset Management Plans (AMP), analyze lost energy trends (LEA), manage spare parts inventory, and evaluate technical retrofits to maximize generation yield.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering; Professional Engineering license, PMP, IAM, or GWO certifications are highly desirable.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in O&M or asset management for utility-scale wind energy projects.
- Proven background managing complex O&M/OEM contracts (e.g., Full Scope Availability Agreements/LTSAs), technical cost control, budgeting, and contractor dispute resolution.
- Strong technical expertise in wind turbine technology, high-voltage substations, protection systems, power transmission lines, technical drawing reviews, and civil cost estimation.
- BOSH/COSH certified with deep working knowledge of high-voltage safety practices as well as DOLE, DOE, and DENR regulatory standards.
