About the role
A. Job Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Accounting Office, ensuring the accurate, timely, complete, and compliant recording, processing, reconciliation, and reporting of the Company’s financial transactions. - The Accounting Manager ensures that accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), relevant accounting principles, tax regulations, government requirements, and Company policies and internal controls. The role is primarily accounting-focused and does not assume responsibility for Finance Office functions such as treasury and cash management, financial planning and analysis, investment management, financing, capital raising, or corporate financial strategy, unless specifically assigned.B.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations - oversees the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Office, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions. This includes supervising journal entries and maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger and subsidiary ledgers. The role also ensures proper review, classification, documentation, and cut-off of transactions, while maintaining accounting procedures and internal controls. General Ledger and Financial Closing - leads the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process and ensures timely completion of all closing activities. This includes reviewing trial balances, journal entries, and reconciliations, and resolving outstanding or unusual balances. The role also ensures all accounts are properly supported, reconciled, and documented. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable - oversees the accurate recording and monitoring of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. This includes ensuring proper validation, documentation, and classification of invoices, billings, and collections. The role also reviews aging reports and coordinates resolution of outstanding balances and discrepancies. Tax Accounting and Compliance - ensures proper recording, reconciliation, and compliance of all tax-related accounts and requirements. This includes reviewing supporting

s for applicable taxes and coordinating with external advisors and government agencies when needed. The role also ensures timely submission of tax-related requirements and updates accounting procedures based on regulatory changes. Fixed Assets and Inventory Accounting - oversees the proper recording, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets, including maintenance of asset registers. The role ensures correct accounting treatment of asset-related transactions and coordinates with departments on asset movements and verification. It also oversees inventory accounting and investigates variances between records and physical counts. Financial Reporting and Management Reports - prepares and reviews financial statements and accounting reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. The role identifies process gaps and recommends system and workflow improvements, including automation initiatives. It also ensures proper segregation of duties and alignment with applicable standards and regulations. Team Leadership and People Management - leads and supervises the Accounting team by assigning tasks, setting expectations, and monitoring performance. The role includes coaching, training, and developing staff to improve capability and productivity. It also promotes discipline, accountability, and continuity of accounting operations. Cross-Functional Coordination - coordinates with internal departments and external stakeholders to support accounting requirements and ensure proper documentation. The role provides accounting guidance to business units and works with auditors, consultants, and government agencies as needed. It also escalates significant issues, risks, and compliance concerns to Management.C.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, or a related field.CPA license is highly preferred. Professional Experience
At least 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with experience supervising or managing an accounting team. Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, audit, and month-end/year-end closing. Experience handling multi-company, multi-business-unit, or project-based accounting is an advantage. Technical Competencies
Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and applicable tax regulations. Proficiency in General Ledger and financial reporting processes. Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, fixed assets, and tax accounting. Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to review and interpret financial and accounting reports. Work Arrangement and Mobility
Requirements
Willing to work onsite in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig. Willing and able to travel for project assignments, site visits, audits, and other official business requirements. Must be adaptable to working with different business units, project sites, and operational locations as required by the Company. Willing to undertake occasional domestic or international travel based on business and operational requirements.
