Software QA Analyst – Data Automation

GECO Philippines is looking for a Software QA Analyst – Data Automation to join our growing technology team in Iloilo City. This position will support an international project and work closely with teams across the UK, Poland, and Singapore. Project: UK / Poland-based international project

• Work Arrangement: Full-time, Onsite
• Location: Iloilo City

The role focuses on validating application features, integrations, and system changes through a combination of manual and automated testing. You will work with Business Analysts, developers, and international stakeholders to identify issues and help ensure reliable software releases.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze requirements and supporting documentation to understand expected system behavior
• Prepare and maintain test scenarios and test cases based on project

requirements

• Execute functional, regression, and integration tests
• Perform automated testing using available QA tools and internal testing solutions
• Check application behavior, logs, and error messages when investigating issues
• Document and track defects in Jira, including reproduction steps and relevant supporting information
• Retest fixes and perform regression checks after issues have been resolved
• Coordinate with Business Analysts and development teams when requirements or system behavior need clarification
• Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and blockers to the appropriate teams
• Help maintain reliable testing environments and support smooth QA activities
• Use scripts and testing utilities to improve testing efficiency
• Participate in initiatives that improve QA practices, test coverage, and overall software quality

What We’re Looking For

Required

Qualifications

• Completed a college degree or other relevant higher education
• Good command of written and spoken English, at least B2 level
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working with remote and international teams
• Ability to investigate application behavior, logs, and error messages
• Willingness to learn QA tools, test management systems, and defect tracking platforms
• Willingness to work on a schedule that provides overlap with UK business hours

Advantageous Skills

• Knowledge of software testing principles and QA processes
• Familiarity with SQLBasic knowledge of XMLExposure to scripting or programming, particularly Python
• Experience with tools such as Jira or Test
