Accounts Payable Accountant

The Accountant is a member of the Finance and Accounting team and has a functional reporting line to Accounts Supervisor / Process Owner. Responsible for conducting accounting and period end reporting tasks according to Gearbulk Internal Control System for Finance and Accounting department.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the invoice registration process.

• Scanning and registration of invoices.
• Verify correct registration and accounting of invoices

Responsible for the invoice workflow process

• Sending invoices to the workflow approval system
• Monitor invoices in the workflow approval system
• Updating of the invoice workflow process

Responsible for maintaining and updating the supplier register in the accounting system

• Supplier/Vendor Set up (SERTICA/MS DYNAMICS)
• Address and ensure correct bank set-up for payment

Vendor Accounts Reconciliation

• Reconcile vendor monthly Statements and Related Transactions
• Attend to Vendor Enquiries, Payment status, etc.

Invoice Settlement

• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Assist in Payment Run (Building of payment batches)

Bank Reconciliation

• Bank Reconciliation (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)
• Bank Reconciliation Reporting
• Support the external auditors
• Providing ad hoc accounting assistance as required
• Knowledge and Skill requirements
• Bachelor/master’s in accounting and/or Finance
• At least 3 to 4-years professional accounting experience
• Strong accounting knowledge, control, and reporting skills.
• Proficient in IT applications and familiar with ERP systems and general accounting software functionality
• High proficiency in English, written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively and remain calm under pressure, especially during peak periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php33,000.00 per month
