Full job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, and ledgers.
• Record, review, and reconcile daily financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process payroll-related accounting entries.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and prepare required tax filings and government remittances.
• Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Maintain fixed asset records and monitor depreciation

• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding financial transactions and documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial records and company information.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required.
• At least 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and government compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
