Test Automation Lead (TOSCA)

Job Mandate

Manage and execute manual and automated testing activities, ensuring all deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understands, analyzes, and documents testing requirements, ensuring clarity and coverage for both manual and automated

testing

• Drives the end-to-end testing process through the development and execution of comprehensive test scenarios (manual and

automated)

• Collaborates with stakeholders to define testing scope, strategies, timelines, and automation opportunities
• Develops, maintains, and executes detailed manual test cases and automated test scripts
• Designs and implements automation frameworks and reusable test components where applicable
• Identifies, analyzes, and reports defects/bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
• Logs and tracks defects using JIRA (or similar tools) and ensures proper monitoring until closure
• Ensures all artifacts (Test cases, scripts, reports) are validated, well-documented, version-controlled, and archived
• Conducts daily smoke and/or automated sanity testing to validate environment readiness before test execution
• Performs root cause analysis and basic troubleshooting before escalating issues to developers
• Develops and maintains regression automation suites to ensure consistent quality across releases
• Integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback cycles
• Monitors automation execution results, analyzes failures, and updates scripts as needed
• Escalates critical issues and blockers to the Test Leads and support timely resolution
• Communicates new functionalities, changes, and issues to the team to align expected results and testing coverage
• Keeps the Test Lead and stakeholders informed to testing progress, risks, and delays
• Performs retesting and regression testing (manual and automated) for resolved issues
• Ensures test coverage meet quality standards and identifies gaps in both manual and automated testing
• Optimizes test execution through automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Responsible for handling all assigned test scenarios and automation task end-to-end withing defined SLAs

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Education Graduate of Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or any related course
• Work Experience Software testing experience with at least 8 years end-to-end projects delivered

Knowledge Area Have experience in software testing, SDLC, testing methodologies and automation testing.

Skills

• Background in programming languages like C, C#, Java, Javascript, Python, Ruby,

PHP, SQL

• Proficiency in automation tools & frameworks such as Selenium, Junit, Tosca,

Playwright etc.

• Proficiency in testing and defect management tools including JIRA, Postman and

Azure

DevOps

• Basic understanding of API testing, including request/response structures and

validation techniques

• Ability to design and document test artifacts, including test plan, test cases, and

test scenarios
