About the role
We're looking for a mid-level Graphic Designer to join our creative team as the primary producer of social media and paid social creative assets. This is a high-volume production role: you'll take master creative templates built by our Senior Digital Designer and clear, detailed briefs from the Marketing team, and turn them into polished, on-brand, channel-ready assets at pace. You'll also be a core operator of our internal AI creative tool, using it to generate channel-specific versions of approved master templates and refining the output to a brand-ready standard — working as part of our in-house build alongside an existing offshore team member who is being upskilled in parallel.
This role suits a designer who is fast, meticulous, and energised by variety and volume — someone who takes pride in getting the small details right across many assets, rather than working on one hero piece for weeks.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Production
- Produce high volumes of social and paid social creative assets (static and carousel formats) from master templates provided by the Senior Digital Designer.
- Interpret and execute detailed creative briefs from the Marketing team accurately and on schedule.
- Resize, adapt and optimise creative across all major social formats and specs (feed, stories, reels, in-stream, etc.).
- Maintain strict version control across campaigns, markets and channels, keeping naming conventions and file structures consistent.
- Proofread and quality-check all assets for brand consistency, copy accuracy and technical spec compliance before handover.
AI-Generated Content
- Act as the primary in-house operator of our internal AI creative tool, generating channel-version creative (‘asset churn’) from master templates that have already been approved by the Marketing Director.
- For each request, combine the Senior Digital Designer's brand-aligned prompt library with the requesting owner's per-brief prompt (target audience, themes, mood/feel) to generate on-brief, on-brand outputs.
- Refine and finish AI-generated outputs to bring them up to brand and quality standard — correcting composition, typography, colour and layout as needed — ahead of review.
- Support the requesting owner and Senior Digital Designer through their sign-off review of AI output, actioning any agreed amends.
- Feed back on prompt performance and output quality to help the Senior Digital Designer maintain and evolve the prompt library over time.
- Flag any AI outputs that raise brand, quality or turnaround concerns to the Senior Digital Designer.
- Expect meaningful production volume once fully ramped — in the region of 50–100 variations per campaign (video, motion, stills and carousel), scaling toward c.200/month across campaigns.
Collaboration & Ways of Working
- Work closely with the Senior Digital Designer to understand and correctly apply master templates and brand guidelines.
- Liaise directly with marketing stakeholders to clarify brief requirements and turnaround expectations.
- Manage a busy, fast-turnaround workload across multiple concurrent briefs, prioritising effectively to hit deadlines.
- Contribute to a small creative team culture of quality, speed and continuous improvement.
- Keep up to date with evolving social platform specs, formats and creative best practice, and proactively share updates with the team.
- What We're Looking For
Essential
- 2–4 years' experience in a graphic design role focused on social media and/or paid social/digital advertising — strong, current knowledge of social asset creation is the top priority for this role.
- Strong working knowledge of social asset formats, specs and creative best practice across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube.
- Proven ability to work from master templates and brand guidelines to produce consistent, on-brand creative at volume.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially when working across many assets/variants under time pressure.
- Confident, professional communicator, comfortable working with briefs from stakeholders in a different time zone/location.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Figma.
Desirable
- Comfortable directing and refining output from AI creative generation tools — the AI tool produces the video/motion generation itself, so this is about reviewing and finishing output to brand standard rather than hands-on motion skills.
- Experience writing or refining creative prompts, or working with a brand prompt library/style guide.
- Experience working within an offshore or distributed creative team supporting an onshore marketing function.
- Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) or creative workflow/project management tools.
Reporting Line & Team Structure
This role reports directly to the Senior Digital Designer and sits within a creative team of three, which in turn is part of a wider Marketing team of 18. You'll work day-to-day with the Senior Digital Designer on templates, brand standards and quality control, and directly with marketing stakeholders on brief requirements and delivery timelines.
