Full job description

• Primarily responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records.
• He / She administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
• Licensing or registration required.
• Includes advance practice nurses such as: nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, certified nurse midwives, and certified registered nurse anesthetists.
• Advanced practice nursing is practiced by RNs who have specialized formal, post-basic education and who function in highly autonomous and specialized roles.
• Acts as a primary Nurse to allocated patient (s) under the supervision and support of a Head Nurse or above, plans, implements and evaluates patient programs of care, focusing particularly on risk assessment and risk management
• Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Ensures the maintenance of high standards in all ward procedures and treatments including the storage, custody and safe administration of medicines.
• Reports to a senior staff nurse or above, any circumstances which may compromise the effective delivery of care, safety or day to day management of an area.
• Maintains accurate, detailed reports and patient records. Assists in ensuring that all clinical documentation/procedures comply with all applicable legislative and statutory requirements.
• Attends and takes part in ward rounds and other multi- disciplinary meetings.
• Assists in the procedures for admission and discharge of patients.
• Assists in ensuring that the requirements of the care program approach are met.
• Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.

Education

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)

Language
