What We're Looking ForDiploma in Accounting or higher is required5-7 years of hands-on Australian bookkeeping experience, with strong knowledge of Australian accounting processes, compliance requirements, and end-to-end bookkeeping

  • Proven experience managing BAS, IAS, GST, AP/AR, bank and account reconciliations, and month-end activities for Australian businesses
  • Experience compiling TPAR data and supporting reporting requirements for applicable Australian industries
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero is required; Xero Advisor Certification is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Dext and third-party accounting integrations
  • Strong experience managing complex reconciliations, multi-currency transactions, and inventory accounting
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
  • Excellent written communication skills for clear and professional Australian client correspondence
  • Available to start immediately

Key

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end accounts payable processes, including Dext bill capture, GST coding, tracking codes, PO matching, payment runs, and AP ledger reconciliations
  • Manage daily bank and payment service provider (PSP) transaction coding, investigate anomalies, and raise clear queries for timely resolution

Perform complex reconciliations across multi-currency wallets, inventory and COGS bridges, payment gateways, balance sheet accounts, fixed assets, and general ledger records

  • Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoice issuance, customer statements, overdue balance follow-ups, and credit control support
  • Execute month-end bookkeeping activities, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, FX revaluations, account reviews, and period locking
  • Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS reports and compile accurate TPAR data in line with Australian reporting

  • Maintain fixed asset registers, capitalize additions, process depreciation, and reconcile asset balances against the general ledger
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Xero-connected applications and third-party accounting integrations to support efficient financial workflows
  • Communicate proactively with Australian clients and stakeholders, resolving bookkeeping queries and maintaining clear visibility across financial deliverables
