Test Engineer

HON-KWANG ELECTRIC (PHILIPPINES) INC is seeking a dedicated Test Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position based at our facility in Laguna Technopark, Binan City, Laguna. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and services through comprehensive testing methodologies and rigorous quality assurance processes. This position is essential to maintaining our commitment to excellence and delivering superior products to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software, hardware or integrated systems
• Perform functional, performance, integration and regression testing to identify defects and quality issues
• Document and report test results, bugs and defects using established tracking systems and tools
• Collaborate with development teams to understand system requirements and verify compliance with specifications
• Execute manual and automated testing procedures using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks
• Conduct root cause analysis on identified defects and work with teams to implement corrective actions
• Maintain detailed records of testing activities, results and metrics for continuous improvement
• Participate in product releases and support deployment activities as required
• Contribute to the enhancement and optimisation of testing processes and quality assurance procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional testing, integration testing and regression testing
• Proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks relevant to your specialisation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with scripting languages or programming languages is advantageous
• Knowledge of electrical or electronics testing (if applicable to the role) would be beneficial
