About the role
The Product Manager – Solar Devices is responsible for developing and managing the company's portfolio of solar products, ensuring they meet market demands, customer requirements, and business objectives. The role oversees the product lifecycle—from market research and product sourcing to launch, sales enablement, and continuous product improvement. The Product Manager works closely with Sales, Technical Support, Operations, and suppliers to drive product success and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for solar devices and renewable energy solutions. Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities. Manage the entire product lifecycle, including product planning, sourcing, pricing, launch, and end-of-life management. Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with local and international suppliers and manufacturers. Define product positioning, value proposition, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market competitiveness. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to create product presentations, brochures, technical documentation, and promotional campaigns. Provide product training and technical guidance to internal teams, channel partners, and customers. Work with Technical Support and Engineering teams to resolve product-related issues and improve customer satisfaction. Monitor sales performance, inventory levels, product profitability, and customer feedback to recommend improvements. Ensure all products comply with applicable industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate product demonstrations, pilot projects, and proof-of-concept activities with customers. Prepare sales forecasts, business cases, and product performance reports for management. Represent the company during supplier meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical), Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. At least 3–5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, or Business Development, preferably in the solar, renewable energy, electrical, or power solutions industry. Strong understanding of solar devices (renewable energy) solar inverters, batteries, charge controllers, mounting systems, and related technologies. Experience in product sourcing, supplier management, and pricing strategies. Knowledge of the Philippine renewable energy market is an advantage. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP or CRM systems is an advantage. Willing to travel for supplier meetings, customer visits, and industry events within Philippines
