Position Overview

Berlitravel is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting tasks, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance for our travel operations. This role supports month‑end closing, maintains accurate financial records, and ensures smooth coordination between U.S. finance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• General Accounting — Maintain journals, ledgers, and accurate financial records.
• Reconciliation — Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, payment processors, and travel partner transactions.
• Financial Reporting — Prepare P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and management summaries.
• Month‑End Closing — Support accruals, adjustments, and closing activities.
• Accounts Payable — Process vendor invoices, partner payouts, refunds, and travel‑related expenses.
• Accounts Receivable — Track customer payments, chargebacks, and outstanding balances.
• Compliance Support — Assist with USA regulatory filings, documentation, and audit preparation.
• Cross‑Border Coordination — Work with U.S. finance teams on reporting, tax support, and multi‑entity accounting.
• Process Improvement — Recommend improvements to accounting workflows and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Strong understanding of USA accounting standards
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting U.S.‑based companies
• Background in travel, e‑commerce, or service‑based industries
• Familiarity with multi‑currency accounting

Contract Type
