This role is for someone who tests software applications to make sure they work correctly before they reach the end user. The job involves understanding requirements/user stories, writing and executing test cases, identifying and logging bugs, retesting fixes, and working closely with developers and business teams to ensure the final product is error-free and meets expectations. Knowledge of manual testing (and basics of tools like JIRA, Postman, or Selenium) is usually expected. Simply put — this person checks that the application actually does what it's supposed to do, and catches issues before customers do.
