About the Role

The Technical Delivery Manager will lead Butterfly’s software engineering, QA and project delivery teams, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard across timelines, budgets, quality and client expectations. The role will provide strong people leadership, technical oversight and delivery accountability across multiple client projects. A key focus will be to drive practical AI adoption across the studio, identifying opportunities to embed AI-powered tools, automation and improved workflows across engineering, QA, project management and delivery. The right person will be proactive, technically credible and comfortable taking ownership of delivery outcomes. They will balance team performance, capacity, quality, budgets and client expectations, step into escalations when needed, improve engineering and delivery processes, and help build a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team as Butterfly grows. This role is being recruited by Clarke Point(www.clarkepoint.com), a premier Singapore-based agency dedicated to delivering global recruitment and staffing solutions, and is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor. What You’ll Be Doing Lead software engineers, QA specialists and project managers across multiple client projects

Drive practical AI adoption across the studio by identifying and implementing AI-powered tools, automation and workflows that improve engineering, QA, project management and delivery efficiency

• Manage project delivery against timelines, budgets, quality standards and client expectations
• Oversee resource allocation, workload balancing and capacity planning across the delivery team
• Monitor project health, delivery metrics, utilisation and operational performance
• Establish and improve engineering, QA, Scrum and delivery processes across the studio
• Conduct performance management, coaching, mentoring and career development conversations
• Support recruitment, onboarding and team growth, including developer hiring decisions
• Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture
• Manage delivery risks, technical escalations and client-facing issues through to resolution

What We’re Looking For

Essential

Experience working as an Independent Contractor for an Australian, American, British or similar international clients7+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, including at least 3 years leading or managing teams

Strong practical understanding of AI tools, automation and emerging technologies, with the ability to identify and implement relevant use cases across software delivery and team workflows

• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams including software engineers, QA specialists and project managers
• Demonstrated experience managing project timelines, budgets, quality standards and client expectations
• Strong hands-on technical background across modern web application development
• Practical experience with Python, Django, WordPress and AWS environments
• Strong Agile and Scrum experience, with Scrum Master certification or equivalent practical leadership
• Experience managing technical escalations, delivery risks, resource allocation and capacity planning
• Proven initiative with strong written and spoken English and confident client-facing communication

• Experience working in a digital agency, web development studio or software consultancy
• Experience leading distributed or remote multidisciplinary delivery teams
• Experience hiring software developers and contributing to workforce planning
• Experience tracking utilisation, delivery metrics and operational performance

• Compensation Package₱170,000 to ₱200,000 per month (depending on experience)

• Fully remote, Monday to Friday, aligned with Australian business hours (with flexibility)
• Butterfly is based in Melbourne, Australia, and the role will work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Melbourne time, with some flexibility. Pre-engagement
