• Salary: Php 77,997.75 per month net of taxes

Context

The Online Communications Unit (OCU), the Manila-based branch of the IOM Media and Communications Unit, focuses on several key areas of work. These include bringing expertise and agility to manage the digital environment effectively, ensuring IOM's online presence is a strategic priority, maintaining consistency in online brand representation, guiding and empowering colleagues through web management training, and being dedicated to swift and effective responses to web-based demands, efficiently meeting various web-related needs.

Under the direct supervision of the National Digital Communications Officer and the overall guidance of the Head of the Online Communications Unit (OCU), the successful candidate will assume a senior-level role, tasked with providing Website Development support for websites managed by the OCU.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

• University degree (or equivalent working experience) in Computer Science or related fields with atleast four (4) year of professional experience in web development, or;
• College diploma in Computer Science or related fields with at least six (6) years of professional experience in web development.

Experience

• Experience in web applications design and development, experience in PHP/MySQL programming with at least three years in design and development of Drupal website. An advantage would be the ability to install, configure and secure application/ web servers in Acquia Cloud, Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure in secure Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP (LAMP) environments.
• Experience with development tools such as Git (using Gitflow) and Subversion version control systems, Drush, Visual Studio Code, working with database technologies, specifically MySQL and Cloud SQL.
• Knowledge and Experience in developing Drupal integration into large scale systems or third-party products an advantage.
• Experience with working on other open-source technologies and CMS platforms (like WordPress, Joomla etc.).
• Practical experience of how-to multi-task, prioritize and work independently.
• Skills in data visualization offer significant advantages: data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik

View, or other relevant software. Demonstrated experience in creating interactive and static visualizations.

• Proficient in web design and mobile first front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
• Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development frameworks and Simple

Test Drupal-specific testing API an advantage.

• Solid Drupal custom code development with good knowledge of core API and commonly used contributed modules preferred.
• Knowledge of Drupal 9/10 and its new components, such as Twig, Backbone.js and Underscore.js an advantage.
• Knowledge of Accessibility (WCAG) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) implementation is desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Strong understanding and interest in migration, development, communication and/or humanitarian issues.
• Proven ability to produce quality work accurately and consistently according to set deadlines.
