About the role
The Data Visualization Engineer II is instrumental in working closely with the Development, Product and Data Science Teams in determining reporting needs as well as data requirements. This position is also responsible for creating effective and insightful reporting visualizations, which will play a major role in key decision-making, user experience enhancements, and process improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Work with Product, IT and Data Science teams to create innovative and valuable visualizations to identify patterns, trends, and exception
- Provide Descriptive Statistical Analysis with available data
- Data Engineering skillset to provide Dimension and Metric Requirements for Analytical Base Tables for Descriptive Statistical use
- Design effective and useful Dashboards for improved operations
- Move existing reports to visual analytics dashboards
- Handle requests for visualization and dashboarding as BI and overall Data Visualization (DV) environment matures
- Translate data and analysis requests into solutions using a variety of data analysis and visualization tools
About you
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, IT, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with Descriptive Statistical Analysis
- Experience with Business Intelligence systems, developing dashboards and visualization
- Experience within Power
- BIExperience with Snowflake or other Data Warehouse environments is desirable
- Experience with SQL, including complex SQL queries is desirable
- Technical and Statistics competency
- Logical, analytical, and creative approach to solving problems
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Good time management skills to plan and organize own work
- Ability to work with the data teams and technical teams
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT development preferred
- Ability to adapt to change
