Full job description

Our Frontend / Full-Stack Developer will develop and improve the Sentience web interface used by customers, installers, administrators and Smoke Screen support staff. The role is responsible for making device data clear, actionable and easy to use, with particular focus on dashboards, estate views, site/device navigation, reporting, role-based access and operational workflows.

This role should be comfortable working with real device data from MQTT-connected hardware, not just static web screens. The successful candidate will help turn device status, fault conditions, history, input/output states and support diagnostics into a practical, reliable user experience.

• Develop and maintain the Sentience web front end and related full-stack features where required.
• Build dashboards showing device health, online/offline status, faults, alerts, input/output state, history and key operational information.
• Create clear views for customers, sites, devices, users, support functions and administration workflows.
• Work with backend APIs to display real-time or near-real-time device information received from MQTT-connected hardware.
• Make technical device information understandable to non-technical users such as loss prevention teams, installers, maintenance teams and customer managers.
• Build reporting screens, filters, exports, status summaries and drill-down views.
• Support role-based user journeys so different users see appropriate information and controls.
• Implement responsive, maintainable interface components suitable for desktop and tablet use, with mobile support where appropriate.
• Improve usability around device provisioning, diagnostics, event history and support workflows.
• Collaborate with backend, firmware and QA colleagues to validate end-to-end behaviour from device message to database to UI.
• Maintain front-end code quality through reusable components, consistent patterns, pull requests and sensible automated checks.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Clear written English and willingness to document design decisions and assumptions.
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript experience.
• Experience with React, Next.js, Vue or a comparable modern front-end framework.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and working with asynchronous data.
• Good understanding of UI state, forms, tables, filters, dashboards and data presentation.
• Ability to work with authentication, protected routes and role-based permissions.
• Ability to turn operational requirements into simple, usable screens.
• Good Git workflow, including branches, pull requests and review feedback.
• Ability to test own work and provide clear evidence of what has been checked.

• UI/UX experience, including the ability to simplify complex operational data and design practical workflows for non-technical users.
• Experience with IoT dashboards, monitoring systems, fleet management, alarm/security systems or field-service platforms.
• Experience with Next.js and server-side rendering or hybrid web applications.
• Experience with charting, reporting, exports and management dashboards.
• Experience with component libraries, design systems or accessibility-aware front-end development.
• Basic backend capability in Node.js, Python or similar.
• Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
• Awareness of OWASP principles and common web application security risks.

Pay: Php30,734.43 - Php91,371.05 per month
