Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Accountant to join our growing finance team in a full-time remote capacity aligning with Australian business hours. In this role, you will play an essential part in maintaining key financial operations, ensuring precision across reporting, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to keep project finances on track and ensure flawless day-to-day accounting. What You’ll Be Doing

Financial Management & Reporting: Prepare, maintain, and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and monthly financial reports to ensure high data integrity.AP/AR & Billing: Oversee end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, issuing client invoices, tracking procurement expenses, and monitoring incoming collections. Project Cost Tracking: Collaborate with operational leads to assist with project budgeting, cost monitoring, and variance analysis across active deliverables. Payroll & Statutory Support: Support payroll processing routines, maintain accurate audit trails, and assist with compliance, audit preparations, and statutory reporting requirements. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a closely related discipline. Experience: 3 to 5 years of core accounting or general finance experience within a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables) and hands-on experience with modern cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or SAP). Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and top-tier written and verbal communication skills.
