Marketing Specialist - Independent Contractor

Pay: $7-$9/hour

OVERVIEW

The Marketing Specialist will be an integral part of a small but powerful marketing team. This position will support all marketing initiatives by providing strategic input and tactical execution for a variety of activities. In supporting multiple business divisions, this role must have the ability to collaborate across functional areas to drive results in a start-up type of environment. This individual will report to the company’s Director of Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: (may include, but not limited to)

 Create compelling, engaging content to support integrated strategy leveraging both traditional and digital marketing tactics including outbound campaigns, webinars, launch communications, sales meetings, and other events as required.

 Support creative design needs including layout & design and photography touch-up using the Adobe Suite and occasionally PowerPoint to create compelling visuals to help tell our story.

 Using AI skills along with layout and design acumen, this role is responsible for working with Engineering teams to deliver high-quality user manuals for complex systems.

 Execute outbound campaigns using Microsoft Dynamics 365 marketing cloud.

 Implement new ways to support the sales team with storytelling tools that accurately and continuously support our overall brand message.

EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or general business.

 3+ years relevant experience in technical or B2B manufacturing company preferred.

 Critical thinking skills, and the ability to think under pressure.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

 Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

 Experience with Adobe Suite required.

 Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and AI tools (Co-pilot, Claude, Chat GPT, etc.) preferred.

 Ability to occasionally function in a remote working environment as needed.
