Bookkeeper - AU experience

As Bookkeeper you will manage a dedicated set of clients within a collaborative team, focusing primarily on financial administrative tasks including the preparation of Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and Business Activity Statements (BAS).

Daily responsibilities include data review, consolidation, and entry, as well as bank and balance sheet reconciliations, payroll processing, and monthly reporting.

Beyond core accounting duties, the position requires proactively managing client requests, identifying missing information, and maintaining accurate time records using systems such as Xero, Xero Practice Manager, and FYI Docs.

You will need to have at least three years of prior experience working with Australian accounting or bookkeeping firms.

Responsibilities

• Bank reconciliation
• Prepare and review 20 - 30 Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
• Prepare and review 60 - 100 Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Monthly reporting
• Payroll processing
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Identifying and requesting missing or incomplete information
• Responding to and assisting with client requests for information
• Recording of time

Use of systems including

• Xero and Xero Practice Manager (essential)
• FYI Docs (essential)
• Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Teams (essential)
