The main responsibilities of an Account Manager include: Manage a portfolio of approximately 20–40 U.S.-based client accounts, supporting around 30–50 Virtual Assistants (VAs). Serve as the primary point of contact for client-related concerns, requests, and account needs. Build and maintain strong client relationships to support satisfaction, retention, and long-term loyalty. Investigate and resolve client-VA concerns and disputes, escalating complex cases when necessary. Conduct regular client check-ins and business reviews to understand needs and identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Handle account cancellations and coordinate appropriate next steps. Work closely with the Placements Team on new, replacement, and add-on account staffing requirements. Monitor VA performance, attendance, incentives, credentials, and overall reliability. Provide coaching, mentorship, guidance, and support to VAs across your portfolio. Address VA performance concerns and misconduct while promoting accountability and professional standards. Conduct regular VA check-ins and support engagement, performance, and retention. Manage VA resignations and attrition, escalating issues when necessary. Maintain and manage CRM data, including data entry, refinement, quality control, reporting, dashboards, and data analysis. Use project management tools to track tasks, coordinate activities, and collaborate effectively across teams. Analyze account and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Support marketing and sales initiatives that contribute to account and business growth. Identify opportunities for upselling, referrals, business reviews, and other revenue-growth initiatives. Provide overall guidance and direction to promote collaboration and harmony across client and VA relationships. Balance client satisfaction and relationship management with VA performance and retention. Ensure account activities and decisions align with business objectives and operational standards. To apply, you must meet the following requirements: At least 2 years of telecommuting experience. At least 2 years of experience in the Virtual Assistant field or a healthcare-related role. At least 2 years of team lead or managerial experience. Experience managing people and projects, with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities. Strong data analytics skills and the ability to interpret information and use it to support business decisions. Typing speed of at least 40–45 WPM.Working knowledge of KPIs, business process cycles, project management, quality management, risk management, and information technology. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts and VAs simultaneously. Strong communication skills, particularly in client-facing conversations. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; native-level English or perfect grammar is not required. Strong interpersonal, conceptual, technical, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams. Comfortable handling both client relationship management and VA performance management, as both are equally important to the role. It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in: Experience in the healthcare industry — this is a plus, but is not required. Experience managing a large, multi-account client portfolio. Previous experience supporting or managing U.S.-based clients. Experience managing Virtual Assistants across multiple client accounts. Experience with CRM systems, reporting dashboards, and data-driven account management. Additional experience in client retention, account growth, upselling, referrals, or business development. Experience working in a fast-paced, remote environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. What success looks like in this role: As an Account Manager, you'll be responsible for the success of both sides of the relationship. Client satisfaction, retention, and loyalty are equally important as VA performance, reliability, and retention. You'll be expected to effectively manage a large portfolio while maintaining strong relationships, proactively addressing concerns, and helping both clients and VAs succeed.
