JOB SUMMARY

The Business Analyst III will assist the operational business units by performing data analysis and identifying trends that will allow the business unit to improve business performance. This position will also be responsible for the consistency and integrity of data reported. This position works with all levels of management to determine reporting requirements. Communicates improvement opportunities or analysis directly to business unit leaders by drawing observations and making actionable recommendations to address operational challenges.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Independently clarifies reporting needs with clients to understand the scope of request, utilizes systems to create and deliver analysis and actionable insights to meet stakeholder’s needs

• Audits and analyzes data to verify quality, data integrity, and reporting functionality; researches and troubleshoots technical issues or data anomalies
• Proactively works with team to create efficiencies in data integration and analysis
• Maintains proper documentation of all reports
• Learns new technologies and systems to advance knowledge of reporting and analysis
• Serves as an internal resource and provides information and training as required
• QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE4 year college degree in applicable related field3-5 years of data analytics and reporting experience
• Healthcare experience preferred
• KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISEProficient (intermediate to advanced skill level) with desktop applications such as Microsoft Office (VBA is a plus)
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL and ETL processes

Intermediate knowledge of relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL Server, Microsoft Access, IBM DB2, Google Big Query or similar

• Basic to intermediate experience with Business Intelligence software such as Tableau, Power BI, Micro
• Strategy, or similar is a plus
• Experience with data science programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, or similar is a plus
• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Alteryx, or similar is a plus
