About the role
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Payroll Processing
- Process payroll accurately and within established deadlines
- Review and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, overtime, allowances, incentives, and deductions
- Ensure accuracy of payroll computations before payroll release
- Prepare payroll summaries and payroll-related reports
B. Timekeeping Administration
- Monitor and validate employee attendance, daily time records (DTRs), and leave applications
- Coordinate with department heads regarding attendance discrepancies and payroll adjustments
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and payroll records
C. Government Compliance
- Process and prepare statutory contributions for SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR withholding taxes
- Ensure payroll activities comply with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies
- Assist in the preparation of government reports and payroll audit
requirements
D. Employee Support & Documentation
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, attendance, and deductions
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information
- Organize and maintain payroll files, reports, and supporting documents
- Assist in payroll reconciliations and year-end payroll activities
E. Administrative Support
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other departments regarding payroll-related matters
- Assist in payroll process improvements and documentation updates
- And any duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 1–2 years of experience in payroll processing or timekeeping is preferred
- Knowledge of Philippine payroll processes, labor laws, and statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet payroll deadlines
