Industrial Designer

Signarama Corporation is looking for a highly technical, detail-oriented, and design-driven Industrial Designer to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining design, technical drawings, measurements, materials, and problem-solving. As an Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for developing signage designs that are not only visually appealing but also accurate, practical, structurally feasible, and ready for production.

You will work closely with our clients, sales team, production team, and other stakeholders to turn concepts and specifications into detailed designs that can be fabricated and installed successfully.

What You'll Do

• Develop technical and production-ready designs for various types of signage and visual branding requirements.
• Create detailed drawings, layouts, elevations, and specifications based on project requirements.
• Work with precise measurements, dimensions, proportions, materials, and construction details.
• Translate client concepts, site measurements, and design requirements into accurate technical drawings.
• Prepare designs that clearly communicate specifications to the production and installation teams.
• Review designs for accuracy, functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that designs can be properly fabricated, installed, and executed.
• Make necessary revisions based on site conditions, technical requirements, production limitations, and client feedback.
• Assist in selecting appropriate materials, finishes, lighting, mounting methods, and fabrication techniques.
• Interpret architectural plans, site measurements, and other technical references when developing designs.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings and ensure that all dimensions and specifications are complete and accurate before production.
• Maintain organized design files, technical documents, and project revisions.
• Collaborate with the team to continuously improve design and production processes.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in technical design, product design, signage, fabrication, architectural drafting, or a related industry is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of measurements, dimensions, scale, proportion, and technical drawings.
• Proficient in relevant CAD and design software such as AutoCAD, Sketch

Up, Adobe Illustrator, Corel

DRAW, or similar tools.

• Knowledge or experience using Flexi software is preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to interpret technical plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent accuracy when working with measurements and technical information.
• Strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and construction methods is a plus.
• Able to visualize how a design will translate from drawing → fabrication → installation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work on multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Willing to learn different signage systems, materials, fabrication methods, and industry standards.
• Comfortable collaborating with different teams and communicating technical information clearly.
