OPERATIONS & PROJECT PORTFOLIO MANAGER

Fortuna Mining Corporation is looking for an experienced and strategic Operations & Project Portfolio Manager to provide integrated oversight of the Company's projects, programs, and major operational initiatives.

This is a portfolio-level leadership role responsible for ensuring that projects and operational initiatives are properly prioritized, coordinated, monitored, and aligned with the Company's strategic and operational objectives.

🎯 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will

• Manage and maintain the Company's integrated portfolio of projects, programs, and major operational initiatives
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables
• Support Senior Management in project prioritization, resource allocation, and portfolio decision-making
• Establish and maintain effective project governance, reporting, monitoring, and control systems
• Identify projects that are delayed, over budget, under-resourced, or at risk and recommend appropriate corrective actions
• Maintain consolidated portfolio-level risk and issue registers
• Coordinate across Operations, Engineering, Technical Services, Finance, Procurement, HSE, Sustainability, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
• Facilitate resolution of cross-functional technical and operational issues
• Monitor project budgets, actual expenditures, forecasts, and significant variances in coordination with Finance
• Prepare portfolio dashboards, executive reports, presentations, and decision-support materials for Senior Management
• Monitor whether completed projects achieve their intended operational and business benefits
• Promote standardized project-management practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement

🎓 QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Management, or a related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional experience
• At least 5 years of experience in project management, program management, PMO, portfolio management, operations management, or a comparable role
• Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating multiple concurrent projects or major operational initiatives
• Strong experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, resource management, and management reporting
• Experience working with cross-functional technical and operational teams

⭐ PREFERRED

Experience in

• Mining or mineral processing
• Construction or engineering
• Energy or oil & gas
• Manufacturing or other heavy industries
• Remote/site-based operations
• Capital projects and major operational improvement initiatives

Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, engineering license, MBA, or risk/project management certifications are an advantage.
