About the Role We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of an Australian civil construction business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting requirements. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple financial priorities while supporting business growth. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in an Accountant, Bookkeeper, or similar accounting role. Experience performing financial accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and general ledger support, with a strong understanding of day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record management. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Knowledge of BAS, GST, and Australian taxation is a nice to have. Experience using MYOB or similar accounting software is highly desirable. Experience working with Australian (AU) clients or businesses is highly desirable. Experience within construction, civil construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries is highly regarded.
