Web Designer

• General design tasks
• Design marketing materials for various projects and events. Develop a responsive website tailored for space news content

Choosing, integrating, and formatting relevant digital assets such as videos, photos, animations, infographics, charts, tables, etc. Manipulating, masking, retouching, and reformatting client-submitted imagery and media

• Incorporating digital assets into client content pages using our CMSImplement interactive features to enhance user engagement and experience
• Collaborate closely with the project owner to align design with vision and objectives
• Ensure the website is optimized for performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices
• Provide recommendations on user interface improvements and site architecture
• Test and troubleshoot across browsers and devices to ensure consistent functionality

Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). Proven experience as a Web Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects. An understanding and respect for typography, white space, and visual hierarchy. At least 2-3 years of experience or a degree in a design-related field. Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Competent proficiency in layout and vector tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, etc. Competent understanding of color theory. Understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Strong technical skills

• Ability to implement efficient and effective systems and best practices
• Ability to quickly and intuitively learn new technologies
• Knowledge of best practices in UX/UI for news or content-driven sites
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
