We are seeking an autonomous, tech-savvy Accounting Operations & Automation Specialist to serve as a key problem-solver across finance, cloud technology, and client communications. You will untangle messy general ledger accounts in Xero and QBO, build powerful no-code automation workflows in Make and Zapier, generate insightful reports via Syft Analytics, and act as a trusted, professional point of contact for clients and vendors. Your Impact

General Ledger Cleanup & Accounting: Investigate complex GL discrepancies, execute precise debit and credit adjustments, reconcile accounts in Xero and QBO, and correct vendor bill records to ensure audit-ready files. Systems Integration & Workflow Automation: Design, build, and maintain multi-step automated scenarios, webhooks, and API integrations using Make (Integromat), Zapier, and Airtable to eliminate manual data entry bottlenecks. Financial Reporting & Insights: Pull clean financial datasets, build performance summaries, and generate custom client reporting packs utilizing Syft Analytics alongside native cloud accounting tools. Vendor & Client Relations: Communicate directly with vendors via phone and email to resolve payment disputes, clarify invoice details, and interface professionally with clients while documenting new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). What You Bring

Accounting Mastery: Strong foundational understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles (debits, credits, trial balance, AR/AP dynamics, and month-end mechanics). Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience mapping webhooks, APIs, and multi-step automated workflows in Make or Zapier, paired with strong database organization skills (Airtable). The Tech Stack: Proficiency across Xero, QuickBooks Online, Syft Analytics, Front, and Google Workspace. Core Competencies: Exceptional tolerance for ambiguity-the ability to take a vague directive and independently research, diagnose, and fix root causes-alongside superior written and verbal English communication for client-facing calls.
