Project Team Head, IT

The Project Team Head is responsible for providing strategic leadership and governance across New Business, Project Management, and Quality Assurance functions. The role ensures successful onboarding of new clients, delivery of project initiatives, achievement of quality standards, and alignment with organizational objectives. Job Responsibilities: Lead and manage the overall Project Team organization. Define project governance, methodologies, and delivery standards. Oversee onboarding and implementation of new clients, merchants, and partners. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations. Manage resource planning and workforce allocation across teams. Act as escalation point for critical client and project issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor project portfolio health and team performance metrics. Present project status, risks, and recommendations to executive management. Build strong relationships with business units, customers, and stakeholders. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is an advantage. Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in IT project delivery. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role. Proven experience managing multiple project teams simultaneously. Experience in payments, financial technology, banking, or enterprise systems is preferred. Experienced IT leader with strong skills in project and portfolio management, stakeholder engagement, financial and vendor management, risk management, and team leadership. Relevant PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or ITIL certification is an advantage.
