Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Accountant to support our accounting operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manufacturing accounting processes, inventory management, cost tracking, and financial reconciliations, preferably within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.

This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting inventory controls, analyzing manufacturing costs, and ensuring accurate reporting across production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing accounting processes, including inventory accounting, cost tracking, and reconciliation activities
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control processes
• Review and reconcile purchase orders (POs), invoices, and vendor transactions
• Monitor purchase order fluctuations and investigate discrepancies
• Support bill of materials (BOM) accounting and production cost analysis
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner
• Partner with operations, procurement, and production teams to ensure accurate financial data
• Assist with month-end close activities related to manufacturing operations
• Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Support financial reporting and audits as needed

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing accounting
• Strong understanding of inventory management and reconciliation processes
• Experience working with bills of materials (BOMs), purchase orders, and manufacturing costs
• Ability to analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-5 years of manufacturing accounting experience
• Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG), cosmetics, or related manufacturing industries
• Experience working in a contract manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems and inventory management software

They have a strong understanding of how production operations impact financial reporting and are able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
