Custom Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Custom Software Engineer with strong expertise in IBM z/OS Systems Administration to support and optimize enterprise mainframe environments. The role involves system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, automation, security, and collaboration with technical teams to ensure reliable and efficient system operations.

Key responsibilities

Serve as an SME for IBM z/OS Systems Administration and provide technical guidance to the team. Manage and maintain IBM z/OS mainframe environments and related system components. Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and capacity. Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions. Develop and use automation tools and scripting to improve system administration processes. Ensure system security and compliance with established standards. Collaborate with multiple teams to resolve technical issues and support key project decisions. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain system stability and project timelines. Mentor team members and facilitate knowledge sharing and technical best practices. About you5+ years of experience in IBM z/OS Systems Administration. Expert-level knowledge of IBM z/OS and mainframe operating systems. Strong experience in system administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Experience with system performance tuning and capacity planning. Knowledge of automation tools and scripting for system administration. Strong problem-solving skills for complex mainframe issues. Experience managing system security and compliance. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
