Accountant | NZ client | Full time- WFH

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join a New Zealand-based accounting firm supporting a portfolio of NZ clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Your responsibilities will include: Preparing accurate financial statements for New Zealand clients
• Performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
• Applying knowledge of New Zealand tax law and compliance

• Identifying and escalating unusual transactions or account issues to senior staff
• Providing regular updates on work progress and outstanding items
• Supporting senior accountants with ongoing accounting processes
• Maintaining accurate and timely records using accounting systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA qualification preferred; CA qualification highly regarded
• Previous experience working with a New Zealand CA firm
• Knowledge of New Zealand tax matters and accounting practices
• Strong experience preparing financial statements and completing reconciliations
• Proficiency in MYOB AO (Accountants Office) and/or Xero
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Experience supporting offshore or remote finance teams
