Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping functions for multiple US-based companies. The ideal candidate has strong QuickBooks Online experience, understands US bookkeeping practices, and can work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online
• Record and classify financial transactions
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Assist with month-end close, payroll recording, and 1099 tracking
• Communicate with clients and support teams to resolve bookkeeping issues

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Minimum 2 years supporting US-based businesses
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Experience managing multiple clients or company files
• Knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop
• Experience with payroll, 1099s, sales tax, or month-end close
• Accounting, Finance, or related degree

Work Schedule

This is a full-time remote position. Applicants must be available during agreed US business hours and have a reliable internet connection and professional work environment.
