Assessment Specialist

Winning English Academy is looking for an Assessment Specialist who can design meaningful English assessments, strengthen scoring consistency, and help place students at the right learning level. You will help introduce a placement approach that assesses listening and reading separately from speaking and writing, giving teachers a clearer picture of each learner's strengths and needs. This is a specialist role with ownership of assessment quality and close collaboration with curriculum and campus teams. Key responsibilities

Design and improve placement, progress, and exit tests. Develop clear speaking and writing rubrics and scoring guides. Lead the implementation of separate placement tracks for receptive and productive English skills. Develop and run a certification process for staff before they score live student tests. Check scoring consistency across campuses and help assessors apply standards reliably. Analyze test results, track placement accuracy, and recommend improvements. Work with the Curriculum & Research Specialist to keep assessments aligned with learning content. Coordinate test administration with campus teams and report findings to the Academic Head. Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Education, Applied Linguistics, Psychometrics, or a related field. Experience in test construction, assessment design, or educational measurement. Strong knowledge of CEFR and English proficiency assessments such as TOEIC and IELTS.Confidence working with data to evaluate test performance and learning outcomes.
