🌟Make a difference and advance your career with Chong Hua Hospital, the Philippines' premier healthcare destination!🩺✨ JOBHOLDER : ________________________________ POSITION : IPC Surveillance Officer JOB LEVEL : B1 DIVISION : Nursing Services Office DEPARTMENT : Department of Infection Prevention & Control SECTION : N/A UNIT : N/A IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR : Infection Prevention & Control Manager COORDINATES WITH : Infection Control Nurses, Staff from Nursing, MDO, MAS, Support Services JOB SUMMARY The IPC Surveillance Officer is responsible for the conduct of hospital-wide surveillance activities for Healthcare-associated Infections (HAI), Notifiable Diseases, and Multi-Drug Resistant Organisms (MDRO), among others. S/he performs the proper investigation, documentation and reporting of possible infectious outbreaks working alongside clinical and nonclinical unit leaders in resolving related concerns. S/he helps monitor and ensure that the various healthcare teams in the organization receive the current infection control guidelines communicated by the hospital’s Department of Infection Prevention & Control. Similarly, s/he stays up-to-date with the country’s health initiatives or programs that include the Philippine Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response, Hand Hygiene and Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Infection Control Bundle of Care Compliance. The IPC Surveillance Officer participates in Infection Control Committee meetings showcasing data collected throughout the surveillance period. JOB DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES Conducts the following infection prevention and control (IPC) surveillance activities in both clinical and non-clinical areas. Generates regular summary reports to the Department of Infection Prevention & Control. Establishes a system of regular reporting to enable the Infection Control Nurses and Manager to monitor activities and progress. Summarizes report of auditing in MS Excel or PowerPoint format as required by the unit. Observes and reports compliance issues. Identify issues of non-compliance with the IPC policy and/or procedures to the unit s/he is assigned to. Recognize issues shall be reported to the respective Infection Control Nurse for further action, as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS

A graduate of any 4-year medical-related Bachelor’s degree. Received training in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and IPC surveillance activities provided by a DOH accredited training organization. Knowledgeable in basic Microsoft Office application. Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written. Preferably, can communicate in Visayan and Tagalog language.
